PP Bags with Flat Bottom / Transparent or Matte
A PP bag with a flat bottom is a bag made of polypropylene (PP) — a clear, durable plastic — that is heat-sealed flat at the bottom. This bag shape is particularly simple in construction and is ideal for filling with powdered food products. The flat bottom also ensures good stand stability on the shelf. Another advantage is that it’s made from mono-material film, which enables optimal recyclability.

| Cost-effective | Simple production without complex bottom folding |
| High transparency | Product clearly visible – ideal for retail packaging |
| Food-safe | Odorless, hygienic, suitable for direct contact |
| Water-repellent | Protection against moisture |
Bags with Block Bottom (glued satchel bottom)
A rectangular bottom (block shape), similar to a cuboid. The bottom creates folds on the left and right sides of the bag, which increase the volume when unfolded. Good stand stability is provided. This construction results in a very stable, flat standing surface and maximum fill volume. Often made from kraft paper, also available with a barrier layer (e.g. PE, PLA, aluminum, or a transparent window). These bags are ideal for granular, solid, or loose fill products such as coffee, tea, flour, spices, or pet food.
Bags with Cross Bottom (glued satchel bottom)
Cross bottoms are used for paper sacks, film bags, paper bags, and carrier bags. A cross bottom is created by folding the lower end of the bag or carrier bag together, overlapping it slightly, and gluing it. The advantages of a cross bottom are the good stability and higher load capacity created by the glued bottom. When laid flat, the bag can be stored very space-efficiently. Once the bag is set upright, the paper sack can stand on its own and can therefore be filled very easily.
